I can leave at 10:30 at night and there’s still a whole group of bochurim in the Beis Medrash — just because they enjoy learning.
A GROWING PILLAR OF THE GLOBAL TORAH COMMUNITY
A GROWING PILLAR OF THE GLOBAL TORAH COMMUNITY
These core principles — expressed by Rav Reuven Grozovsky as the purpose of a yeshiva — are the central features of Kesser Yonah’s existence. And they are the center of what every Kesser Yonah rebbe instills in his talmidim.
THEY HOREVEH OVER A SHTIKEL GEMARA WITH A BREN AND A SHTARKEIT — BECAUSE THEY’RE PASSIONATE, THEY’RE DRIVEN. THEY WANT THIS.
YESHIVA IS WHERE A BEN TORAH ACQUIRES MESIKUS HATORAH, CHESHKAS HATORAH, & LEARNS TO BE AN AMAL KOL YMEI CHAYOV IN EVERY AREA OF LIFE.
IN YESHIVA I LEARNED HOW TO LOOK, ACT, AND PERSONIFY MYSELF AS A BEN TORAH.

The concept of hasmada — taking a sugya or masechta and making it your main focus, putting all your time into it — is something I saw and learned here.
I learned so much from the rebbeim simply based on how they act as Torah Yidden and how they treat others. When I was in yeshiva, learning a masechta, rebbi gave a mussar shmues on Mesilas Yesharim that was powerful. You’re learning how to be real and relevant. His shiur taught me exactly what life is about, and when I learn now, I still hear my rebbi speaking to me.
